So today I saw a feature article in the paper that regularly runs called, "WHO'S BEHIND THE WHEEL". It features people and their cars.
This weeks was about a guy and his 1986 Toyota
Camry's cool for commuter Paddy
After seeing the latest, I thought, what the heck, my Insight is an interesting car, maybe they'd be interested in hearing more. So I sent an email to the writer and shortly after, I received an email back saying although he had written about a Prius in the past,he would like to talk to me about the Insight. Were still coordinating schedules.
Now, I may be premature about the announcement, but we'll see...

Today I was interviewed by Bill Dunn, the columnist who writes the Who’s Behind The Wheel column for Madison’s afternoon paper, The Capital Times. (Madison, WI)

We discussed many things Insight related as well as other topics including my family and my other vehicles (a Dodge Caravan and a 1952 DeSoto). We also discussed my Insight mileage web page and the upcoming hybrid car event in Milwaukee

The photo shoot is set for this Friday morning and the column could run as soon as next week. Too bad I don’t have a GreenHybrid.com T-shirt for the pics! Needless to say I am very excited, not only for myself, but also for the increased exposure of our Milwaukee event.

I’m sure my kids will get a kick out of seeing dear old dad and the Insight in the newspaper.

 

Are you planning to make t-shirts? There are a number of quick ways. Try iron-on printouts. Also, http://www.cafepress.com makes t-shirts and ships them to you. I'm not sure if they can rush deliver, though.

 

Interesting website for T shirts. I think the iron-on printout would be a better option for such short notice.,

 

I just got an email from the reporter.
The article will run in this Monday's issue (4/19/04) of Madison, Wisconsin's afternoon newspaper, The Capital Times on page 8B.

Not sure if it'll also be on their website, but I'll be looking!

Jason, I want to let you know ahead of time I was misquoted in the article.
I did not say I "...started a group called GreenHybrid.com." :huh:
I said I put together the GreenHybrid.com Auto Group for the Milwaukee event.

Anyway, it's a lighthearted article and a fun read.
