Roadtrip! MD2FL2MD 2389m/47g=50.8mpg
Greetings;
Well I drove my wife & 7mo old puppy down to visit family in Naples, Florida last week. We drove Friday & Saturdays, overnighting in Savannah both ways. Spent the week down there only putting on 50 miles of local driving. At first I was disappointed w/ the results, but after some thought I realized that fully loaded car + 90 degrees w/ AC + 70mph equals a healthy load for the car.
I did DWL as much as possible, keeping minimum speed to 5 mph below speed limits at top of hills & grades. Several hundred miles behind truckers setting the pace.
Overall I averaged 50.8 mpg over 2389 miles using 47 gallons, with individual tanks running from 48.87mpg to 54.5mpg. Interesting enough the trip computer for the entire trip said 49.3 mpg. The individual tanks that were run close to nonstop (remember wife & puppy!) matched the trip computers mpg very closely, but throw a dozen trips into the mix and the actual mpg is always better for me than the displayed.
The car did very well, I'm now over 5000 miles (do I get a pin or something?!?!?) See my car's stats in my sig for some notes on the tanks. I have a detailed log of the trip if anybody is curious.

My wife and I will be heading out on a trip from central Arkansas to lap around Lake Huron an Lake Erie this friday. I'm not sure of the milage, but it's going to be a long one. I'll report on our mpg as well - hopefully I can do as well as you did

Edit: I just saw your other post that answered my question. I was curious since I used to live there.
