I hope your patch holds up. That 6-pack of cables is tough to swap out. If the silicone keeps the inner conductor from touching the bent in tube you should be good.

Yes the metallic shielding both aluminum tube in your photo and the braided cable shields above are grounded at both ends.

Inside the inverter there are six (6) current sensors. They always measure and do the math to make sure what is going out comes back.

Still no issue with transmission but was wondering if all the hybrid transmission were the same? Denali, Yukon, Tahoe, pickup 2008-2013?

Pretty much all the same. The Aux Hydraulic pump will be different due to an electrical harness connector change.

it was costing GM $10,000 each transmission (less for the newer one)
they can make it to 200-300k if taken care of..
towing forget about it you can break it in a single day, your mileage may vary.. you better off just renting a pickup it's like 45$ much cheaper then buying another transmission....

"towing forget about it you can break it in a single day" Are you claiming that 2-modes should not tow?

5000 lb boat in tow drove out in electric mode past 2 prius.

just because it can tow does not mean it will do a good job considering the average GM with a 6.0 Liter V8 can tow way more

The standard engine is the Vortec 6.0L V8. It also has a maximum towing capacityof upto 10,500 pounds(may vary per year) when properly equipped.

while the 2mode can barely do 6,000***(all of them are rated to 6k*** ) even a 5.3l tahoe can do 7300-8,500** pounds you should get your facts straight..

** 2009 6.2L tahoe and yukon
*** except for the silverado 2mode which is rated at 5900

Just back it up a hill towing 6000 pounds yeah guaranteed to blow the CVT revise gear.... it happened to another person ..

you also forgot that the Escalade has the 3.42 ratio while the tahoe does not.. it has the 3.08.. a 3.42 is considered a significant advantage which you failed to disclose and very misleading in it self to the OP.. since it goes 3.08, 3.23 , 3.42 3.73 4.10 ratios etc...

The only 2-mode to have a 3.42 was the 2009 Escalade. After that ALL were 3.08. All were rated at 12,000 gross combined regardless of axle ratio. There is NO CVT reverse gear.

Reverse is mode 1 and the engine can not make torque spinning backwards. Yes some customers have difficulty backing up without 4-Low. None of that changes the FACT that Towing a 6000 lb trailer over Loveland Pass, Townes Pass (Death Valley) and many others, the 2-mode kicks the step gear transmissions behind. (while it tows the SAME trailer)

Do you know why the 2-mode had a limit at 6000 lb trailer?

Hint... the size and long term durability of the 3.08 ring gear and differential carrier strength NOT the transmission. Those facts are "straight"

Again you make more false correlations regarding the various products. The ring gear and carrier size limits the 2-mode not the transmission.

You appear determined to "win" here not help. You are not helping!

He appears to be more about "Winning" "Boom!" and starting arguments than helping people with problems here.

To that extent... I am considering my future involvement with this site.

The moderator knows how to reach me. You do. Jet1, Gus, Ken, KC135, and several others know how to reach me.

I'm not here to argue with a fool! I need to stop that!

Please don't stop. There is so little information on these trucks and you are one of the more valuable resources.
