Hi Everyone,

I just picked up a White 2009 Tahoe Hybrid, and am loving it so far.

My questions are....

1) What is the part number for the rear trailer hitch closeout (White)?

2) What is the part number for a chrome exhaust tip?

I searched around, but all the information I found was for non-hybrid tahoes.

Hi Pete,

here's the somewhat bad news ...

1. There's NO trailer hitch closeout available for the Hybrid bumpers, neither factory or aftermarket. If you look closely at the bumper there's not even a place to attach one. Trust me I looked relentlessly for six months. Even if someone claims that they have one that fits they are either lying or mistaken. 2. There's also no oem tip replacement for Hybrids. Even the Escalade Hybrid comes with that ugly pipe. I purchased the aftermarket tip/resonator delete package for the Hybrid from this ebay seller: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/GM-SU...item4ceb981da4

I guess i can live without the rear close out.

But I am really interested in the tip/resonator delete you have.
Is it very loud? Do you have any video clips of it in action?

Also if I decide to get the chrome tip only, what should the tip diameter be?

I'm not sure what the tip diameter is ... perhaps you could contact the ebay seller and ask him, and if he's interested in selling the tip only.

 

Actually I have the resonator in the closet and I went to measure the diameter of the pipe where it was cut. It's approx. 2 3/4 inches.

I like the sound of your tahoe, but my wife says she will not drive it if it gets any louder!

So i guess i will have to find a chrome tip. You mentioned 2 3/4 in. Should that be the inlet diameter I should look for in the tips?

I honestly don't know enough about exhaust to advise you ...

My suggestion is to purchase the ebay tip I pointed to which can be installed with or without the resonator deleted.

Meaning that it can be attached both to the pipe before the resonator if you want to delete it, or to the pipe after the resonator if you wish to keep it.

 

I think I will end up going for the same exhaust set-up you have, the tips are amazing looking!

Also HyHoe, I had one request. Can you help me find the part number for the 09 Tahoe Hybrid OEM Front bowtie emblem?
Mine got damaged by a small rock.
I tried looking it up, but couldn't find it.

O.k So I found the front oem bowtie part number after quite a bit of searching. It is 20831381.
