2007 HCHII
+ $23,195 MSRP
- $2,100 Tax Credit
------------------
= 21,195

Edit: My bad, I see it has Nav. Still, with the credit selling a slightly used HCHII is tricky. Good luck.

Re: 2006 Honda Civic Hybrid

how much longer is the hybrid tax credit going to be good for? i find it odd to take that right off the top of the price of a car that someone is trying to sell.... i guess that is just one way to look at it to justify talking someone down on price.

Re: 2006 Honda Civic Hybrid

I don't find it odd at all (taking the tax credit off).
Unless the potential buyer is going to get hit up with the AMT (which as we know - IS possible), they WILL get it if they buy a new Civic. Of course, then, the car would also be NEW :)
This is different for the Prius, as Toyota has sold enough hybrids so that the (potential) tax credit is now shrinking.

One thing on your side is that these hybrids seem to retain their value quite well. I would think you could sell it for $20K in San Diego. You've hit a slight lull on the demand-side, I think. As gas prices creep up, maybe $21.5 isn't out of the question - IF demand outstrips availability again. Now - if it's got HOV-lane stickers - I'd advertise that! Some people in California go ga-ga over that *feature*.

thanks for your input, i may consider dropping the price a bit down the road if i see little or no interest but i'll hold out. have to get an offer first!

i have the HOV lane stickers on my other hybrid, but not the 06...
