I'll guess it will be 10 to 20 years before the power density is high enough to have a true electric off road vehicle. This one should be fine for short trips ON road and near chargers given it's 25 mile electric range. Also I think hybrid is just generally a bad idea. It makes the machine more complex. Going fully electric will increase longevity and greatly simplify the machine.
