IGBT (mosfet source)?

Hello All,

2013 hybrid Civic

New here,,,and thanks in advance.

Was looking through the IMA failure thread and come to conclusion many times it is in fact the IGBT ( mosfet) that fails on the power inverter.
Many photos, and suggestions, but never did see an actual source of getting the correct IGBT's.
Has any one recently been able to find these? Reecently bought a basket case CIVIC and am certain the IMA module/pack,,, has went south.

Thank You.

No. Best bet is to get a used inverter.

Re: IGBT (mosfet source)?

S Keith,

One other question.. I have tried to find this online and cant come up with a defenitive answer. What is the warranty on the power inverter. Some articles claim anything to do with the IMU is warrantied by Honda for 11 years or 160k miles. If that is in fact the case this thing should still be warrantied. Maybe this warranty is strictly for the IMU battery itself? I never have had any luck getting anything warrantied replaced in my lifetime,,so I am sure this will not happpen with this thing , either.

Thanks.

Re: IGBT (mosfet source)?

No idea. I would expect it to follow the IMA battery warranty, 8 yr/80K or 10yr/150K for CA models.
