Mpg vs. Battery Concerns
Asked this question in another thread but thought I may get more responses if I start a new thread.. so here are my questions:
1. How long is the warranty on the lith batter in the 2010 Insight? I see on the website something about 8 yr 150K miles in some states, or 5 - yr 100k miles in other states. My present vehicle is a Nissan Frontier that is completly PAID OFF.. = no note :D that gets about 14 mpg on a good day... but I hate dropping the 35 - 40 $$ every 9 days for gas.. SO.. I guess what I'm asking is... would it be better for me to go and drive my gas-guzzling Frontier into the ground for the next 5 - 10 years..at $40.00 every 9 days.. or invest in the new Insight and pay the note.. but save on gas for however long the battery holds out??? 2. What is this HCH or something you guys keep referring to?? Honda Civic Hybrid I'm guessing??? Thanks in advance... |
Re: Mpg vs. Battery Concerns
-You will be very pleased with a Insight 2. You should get get 40 and better.
-HCH11 is a Honda Civic Hybrid from 2006 too present day. Hal |
Re: Mpg vs. Battery Concerns
I'm getting 50 MPG combined city/highway in my Insight-II. Yay! The power management is pretty good. The software never let's the battery power go below 30%.
