tahoe hybrid runs for 10 secs and dies
Hello, tahoe hybrid 2010 owner here. truck was running great. today i started it and 10 secs later rpms began to drop and finally died. tried to fire it up again, same.
service hybrid system, service power steering in the dash. scanner shows codes P1A1F And P0BBD under hybrid control module. no codes for power steering unit. SOC 57.418% is my hybrid battery dead? |
Re: tahoe hybrid runs for 10 secs and dies
The fact that it spins suggests it isn't, but P0BBD strongly indicates excessive block voltage deviation. IIRC, P1A1F is love HV voltage.
What are the min/max block voltages. Running for 10 seconds typically suggests the hybrid battery is spinning the engine, but it's not firing for some other reason. |
Re: tahoe hybrid runs for 10 secs and dies
yep, I've seen posts about it before. since the motor in the tranny spins the engine over to start it, unlike a normal stater. it seems like the engine is running on its own but it's not. check normal car stuff like fuel pressure and spark first. make sure the ecm is getting an rpm signal if you have a scanner, stuff like that.

chances are they didn't.. most people end up trading them off when issues hit. is yours doing the same thing? |

Not sure if you noticed, but this is all this person does on multiple models. They usually also have a spam link. Best to ignore.
