Nav address book lost?
 

I have an 06 FEH with the NAV and something really odd happened today, it said my address book was empty. The Home button still works, and my previous destinations are still there, just the address book is empty. Has anyone else seen this isssue or should I take it in to the dealer and have them replace the nav unit?

Yup - same thing happened to me about a year ago. I re-entered the addresses, and it has not happened again.

Yup! Had that happen to me about 1 year ago. I remembered it occured to 3 people I know of ON THE SAME DAY!!!

Sounds to me like a software bug... much like the Y2K thingy.

I have not drivin my FEH recently to know if it happened again or not.

My 06 FEH lost its address book last week too. Fortunately, the previous destinations were still there, so recovery was simple, but tedious.

By coincidence, I had my third battery recalibration (@ 28.3K) that same week. So, maybe it was the liberated hysteresis dust from the battery recalibration that contaminated the address book's flux capacitor? :-)
