Additional Info: Replaced original motor with a used engine from Japan at 245,000 miles, currently at 390,000 miles. This new engine is more powerful than the original, giving my car a 0 to 60MPH time in under 10 sec, but gave somewhat worse gas mileage than the original until I learned how to drive it for best mileage. Instrumentation is very basic with no "game gauge" or tachometer. I use the fuel level gauge to get an idea of how my mileage is running (by the miles on the trip odometer when the needle on the fuel gauge reaches the 1/2, "E" mark etc.). Current tires are Michelin Harmony sized one size wider than OEM tires (175 rather than 165) and inflated to 50PSI. the imporvement in mileage over time was due solely to using hypermiling techniques. This car was renamed "Aerocivic" when I started adding aerodynamic drag reduction mods.
